Welcome to Key Wellness

What is chiropractic?

There are many different types of chiropractic throughout the world, and here at Key Wellness, we specialise in McTimoney chiropractic.  Chiropractic focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of biomechanical, muscle, and nerve dysfunction.

McTimoney Chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney and is taught at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon and Manchester. This gentle and non-invasive form of chiropractic assesses the whole body and aims to relieve painful symptoms and address dysfunction whilst increasing whole-body mobility. McTimoney is a precise  technique providing a gentle treatment, which can be used for people of all ages from babies, pregnant mothers, and the elderly.

At Key Wellness we understand that pain and stiffness may  limit your life, and we want to help you lead a life without these limitations.

Conditions that can be treated include:

  • Neck and shoulder pain

  • Headaches

  • General aches and pain

  • Back pain

  • Hip & pelvic pain

  • Knee pain

  • Sports injuries

Ruth graduated from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, following a 5-year master's degree.  Ruth was first introduced to McTimoney chiropractic by her sister-in-law after suffering from a back injury. After receiving treatment, Ruth was instantly intrigued with how the treatment worked and the benefits it brings, this led Ruth to start studying.

Ruth has also undertaken courses in other treatments such as pregnancy massage and deep tissue massage which she incorporates into treatments as required.

Outside of the clinic Ruth enjoys running, walking, and crafting, whilst brining up her young family with her husband.
